I might get a Duron 1 GHZ. The question I have is if the Duron 1 GHZ was or is available with the new core (Morgan) and old core. Or was it released only as the new Morgan core? The reason why I ask is that the place I was going to order it from has a photo of the processor but it is not the newer Duron. The core is short and square not long and square like the new one.
Here is the link to what I am talking about:

Duron 1 GHZ (http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=19-104-148-01.JPG)

For a second reference see this article at HardOCP:

HardOCP reference (http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/cpus/amd/1ghzmorgan/)

Nevermind I answered my own question. According to the HardOCP article I posted, the Duron 1 GHZ comes in both the Morgan and Spitfire cores. Looks like this photo is of the Spitfire core which doesnt have some of the features of the other.

From what i have heard all the duron's at 1ghz and above come in the morgan core. if your looking to buy a morgan core goto www.monarchcomputer.com and thwey have them specified by cores. I do know that the 1.1ghz and 1.2ghz are Morgan cores.

If you can manage to look at the CPU before you buy, the Morgan cores have the inscriptions on the core going the short way across the rectangle, and the Spitfires have the inscription going the long way across the rectangle of the core.
