i'm planning on making a new setup and i was wondering if you guys could help me decide on a psu. what's the difference between tx and hx and do i really need 750W?

The HX are modular, the VX are not.

No, you don't need 750w with dual Zeons and your vid card. Corsair makes a 650VX and you know about the 620HX. Either should be more than enough for you with plenty of headroom if you overclock them, and would still be plenty if you decide to upgrade your video card. A 520HX would work fine too but if you feel more comfortable with a 620-650w Corsair, go for it. The URL above has free shipping and no tax outside California and a better price than Newegg

the psu is actually for a new setup which is actually going to be get a core 2 duo and a 8800 gt or gts
