If you think the 520 will be a little too small for your future needs, then get the CMPSU-620HX (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=373110) instead. I have one of those and have been very pleased with it's performance.

The 520 is not too weak for your current system setup, and it should suit you fine even for sli. When in doubt, like the mudd mod said, the 620HX should give you complete piece of mind for as long as the pin connectors are around. Either work like a charm.

You're putting out maybe 350-375w with a good overclocked CPU (150-175w). The 8800GT may use ~100w. The 520hx is 40 amp single rail. If you feel more comfortable with more, then I agree with Doc, the 620hx is just fine, 50 amp single rail. More won't hurt at all, just costs more.

Yep, quality comes first and Corsair is top quality. They put out what they say they do under tough conditions.

Here's a few reviews:

Just to give you a little idea on how much a higher end non-sli system draws, I can give you some numbers on my main rig here. It's a Q6600 overclocked to around 3250 presently and running Seti, but not playing any games right now. This rig also has a 7900GTX, 1 hard drive and 1 DVD burner and my UPS software is presently showing a power draw of only 250 watts or so from the UPS (processor at 100% load on all 4 cores). I imagine that when I'm gaming the power draw will go up to around 300 watts due to loading the vid card down. So you see, even a 520 watt psu should be more than enough to power a non-sli system unless you really load it down with a lot of hard drives and fans and other high draw equipment. BTW, my main rig is being powered by a PCP&C Turbo Cool 510AG, FYI.

I was gonna order the 520 for 100 bucks but decided to pay 15 bucks more and get the 620, this way it myte even be enough for my next computer in the future...

the funny thing is when i came on these forums like 6 months ago and asked for a modular psu every one was showing me stuff arround 240... they where telling me i need atleast 700 watts..
