I just got my VisionTek 3870. I unistalled my old drivers, turned off the computer, put in the card, tried to power up; error beeps for no video card. I just put the old one back (eVGA 7900GT) in and it's working fine.

Is my card DOA or what? Is it an issue with PCIE 2.0?

Please help me! I want my new card to work!

PCIe 2.0 is backwards compatible. Sounds like a dead card to me.

obvious question...the power connector going to video card...are you sure it works?

Yup and yup. I just put in my new PSU (which freaking ROCKS!) and it's running without a hitch on my 7900GT.

Returned the card to BB. Got my money back. Picked up the Sapphire 3870 from newegg today
