which files to remove?

what files can i safely remove? other than .bak and .tmp.
im using w2k pro.
can i delete .log files?

I delete .log files without any problems but don't take my word for it just incase. Anyway the prog that created the log file is likely to create it agin after you've deleted it. You can also delete all types of backup files like .001 files but again dont take my word for it.

i thought the programs that create the logs would create them again but the way you said me im still doubtful about deleting or not. does anyone else know if i can safely do it? also, anyother file type?

.log files are fine to delete, but they don't really take up all that much space.
