I was running some Sandra stuff, and saw that Fast Writes Enabled is NO
I've done many 3dmark runs see here (http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?1818212) and not noticed this before. Where can I enable/disable this? I'm certain that anything related to "FAST" is ENABLED in the BIOS;)

i do it trough the bios, but it can be done through NVMAX or other popular tweakers.....i dont think it will make much of a difference...

It is enabled in the BIOS, but Sandra says NO. I also read somewhere it would make a difference, is this not true?

Fastwrites is enabled in my bios but Sandra says it is not enabled, just supported.
I used RivaTuner----DisabledAGPFWDisconnect=1, EnableAGPFW=1, EnableAGPFWStrap=1
Sandra now shows fastwrites enabled. Unfortunately, there is no change in performance with FW enabled. Same 3DMark2001 score.

If you do not have the option in your BIOS like I used to, you can do a registry hack to enable it.

I have the option, and it is enabled, that is what is so strange:confused:

Do exactly what Despotes said, and if that still doesn't work do a search for ztagptool and download that. That tool will allow you to enable fastwrites after those bios settings are changed through rivatuner. Unfortunatly fast writes don't improve performance to any measurable degree.
