3ds max rebooting my comp! werd!

well, i don't know if you guys use 3ds max, but i really need it. Just got my awesome comp upgrade, the thing is when ever i use 3ds max, as SOON as i dial in, my comp restarts.
actually, when i have 3ds max loaded and i try loading IE, my comp reboots.

Ive got a Dragon plus+, intel 2100 dsl mode (PPP), and 1900+.

I know that the kt266a boards are picky with the PCI slots, ive moved the modem to somewhere else, it still does the same thing.

PLEASE i need to know whats the problem!

probably a virus you dl with max ;) do you save the errors? what os you running? I think max is only for NT but I could be wrong about that.

lol, yeah of course its compatiable in win2k (OS).
virus, dun think so. ive virus scanned it, im thinking its the mobo. but no idea howto fix it, heh

I fixed it!

well, the problem is my norton antivirus

i turn it off, it works! as soon as i activate NA, my comp reboots when i have max on!
