I have a 1.4 tbird at 1.6 (11x145) and it is running at about 35degrees celcius at full load does that sound about right? everything is stock except for an 80mm exhaust fan. Would installing side blowholes help the temp any? also The temps is taken with the led on the koolance but mbm reports 10degrees higher (45c) and with an sk6 it was only about 43c full load any ideas?

that sounds right, it all depends on the water tempature though....you could put side fans on, but if you are going to drill holes on the case, put in 92mm's or 120mm's.....thats what i suggest. yea, and mbm temps are rarely accurate.

Thx alot for the answer I'll probably put one or two 120's in the side :)

Your temps sound great ! I would leave well enough alone unless you change the rig around.

maybe put a 92mm on the side of the case blowing at the AGP and PCI cards

in watercooling more air in the case wont realy change your cpu temps just your case temps and any other chipsets

Your temps are great. I have similar results with my Koolance II case. Like replied before, I would not add extra case fans, but I would concentrate on the īlocal Hot Spotsīlike F.g. the Northbridge and the GPU. Adding some improved fan sets here could allow you to OC the FSB and your video card even higher. Good luck!

i agree with you about addressing other hot spots

i have my GPU, Northbridge, and HDD cooled with my Koolance

eventually i will put a exuast fan in the rear and a fan on the side panel blowing directly on my video card to help with cooling the memory and heatsinks

also thinking about putting feet on the case and putting a fan in the bottom

but before i do this i have to decide if i am going to sell my Koolance case and get the new one

the full tower Antec case

I just ordered the Koolance II case for my new box. I ordered a full complement of blocks for the GPU, NB and HDs and an 80MM fan for the back of the case. Have a 500 watt PS with dual fans coming for it too. I have several fans kicking around if I need them (9 120's made surplus from a USR Total Control chassis), but I would prefer to only hack in what I need to, why WC if you're going to have to wind tunnel it too?

How are the in-case temps with a stock Koolance II running only the 3 cooler fans and PS fan(s)?

Anyone ever tandem a smallish pelt with a Koolance? Need to? Want to?

I'm getting psyched to play :)

I couldn't wait for the tower version, but I may very well hack it all into a tower myself if I end up needing more space. That or home brew a wc deal into a tower, maybe with a bong as I keep fish for a hobby and always have tanks around. I'm literally touching a 120 gallon setup as I type this!

I installed a Delta rear exhaust Fan as well, which I connected to the fan controller of the Koolance II. I also added a small Titan Chipset Cooler to the Northbridge and a Vantec Chipset Fan on the GPU of my Radeon. I have an extra slot cooler (out of my previous case) just underneath the Radeon. Both my RAID Barracudaīs are watercooled but my old back up 30 gig IBM is has a HDD fan cooler.

My case temps are around 29 īC and the water temp is stressed around 29/30 `C.
The 3 Top fans on the coolance are running very quit in mode I and II. The remaining fans are a bit noisy, so Iīm planning to connect them all to the fan controlling unit of the Koolance.

How much would installing a northbridge cooler raise my cpu temps? What about installing the northbridge and gpu cooler?
