I remember there being a "patch" a long time ago that would allow you to run SLI on a Xfire MB, but since then I haven't read anything regarding the new x38 chipsets or 8800 series vid cards.
Has anyone here attempted this? Im no programmer, otherwise I would do it myself :santa: From reading other forums theres clearly some demand for it.

I've never heard of this before, much less how feasible it is. Besides I even if at all possible, I would think it would be more than just a software patch.
But then again, I'm no expert. But boy it would be some fun times to run SLi on intel/ati chipsets. :bday:

Nope, there's been no progress that I've heard of since the 7-series.

Wow, you really do learn something new everyday hehe. Too bad Nvidia squashed it with the whole "stop or we'll take your @$$ to court". With that it looks like most if not all the progress has been at a stand-still for damn near two years. :-/
Thats a damn shame too.

It will be nice but I think you will need to move some transistors etc in your mobo. lol

nope... SLI can be ran on any motherboard with 2 physical pcie 16x slots... its just nvidia drivers dont allow SLI on any other chipset than their own. Intel needs to buddy up with nvidia... can u imagine SLI on a x38 chipset...
