Here's my performance right now. RAM timings are 2-2-2. I expected more and am wondering why it's slower than expected.

what is the ar? makes a big difference on the ar

also, try to run the fastest memory timing u could, even tho that might means to lower ur memory speed....
like: memory timing=fastest, CAS=2, bank interleave=4 way, etc. on ur KT266a mobo.
'cos the biggest gain for SETI is memory timing!! then memory speed, lastly CPU speed...

Besides, 5.4 CPU cycles per FLOP seems god for me.....when you increase CPU frecuency this number increases.....for example in my work PC (PII450) I have a normal efficiency of 5 CPU cycles per FLOP and with my home PC (PIII850E@970) I have 5.6 CPU cycles per FLOP.

My memory's set to the optimal settings for the KT266A chipset. The work unit AR is right now 0.417 degrees, whatever that means. Less than 4 hours a WU is good enough but I envisioned almost 3 per WU. Maybe I could try raising the FSB a little more if it's RAM that makes it the fastest.

oh.....don't forget to disable any background app!!! like virus scan, etc., also disable those fancy real time 3D screen saver to!!

Screen saver is blank only, just so the CRT turns off. No background apps going....sometimes I leave AIM on when I'm out but usually not. SETI driver is set to get the highest priority. It makes the machine slow as hell but I get better results.
I'm thinking I was being unrealistic in my expectations. What I get now is a lot better than what I got with my old Athlon-B (1400/200) w/PC133
