i think i hit the wall

my old board (p5n-e sli) let me get my Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 / 1.86
GHz processor up to 3.36 . the bus clock was 480 anything higher it
would not post.my new board (P5K-E/WIFI-AP) let's me get up to 3.43
bus clock 490 and the samething happens. so is it the board again
holding me back from hitting a higher bus clock.i'm trying for 3.50
bus clock 500 .i'm running on air (NINJA PLUS Rev.B 6Heat Pipes CPU
Cooler with fan).temps low 25c loaded 61c.already tryed playing
with vcore / north and south bridge and cpu pll. could it be i'm pushing
it just to much now . or did i hit the wall ....
also tryed changing the multiplier from 7 to 6 but nogo. is there a way
to unlock the multiplier so i can use 8 or 9 ?
