Anyone here run CF with Aux Video card for the 2nd monitor?

Hey all,

I have some video cards coming my way, i have a question tho. when i install the CF i wont have a free PCI slot (one is already used for my soundcard) If i buy a PCIe 1x Video Card, will it still allow me to run duel screen mode, stretch desktop to my likings?

With my current 8800 it allows me to set the desktop the way i want, moving the task bar across the 2nd screen with the clock way off to the right.

I have this setup because I like to watch tv , im etc on the 2nd screen while in a game....

When i try to run duel screen mode on my ATI 1950xt it wont move the task bar accross the screen, it just lets me drag accross screens..

So i didnt know if thats a NV thing or something to do with vista

I'm no akamai, but I do believe Crossfire does not support multiple monitors, period.

You have to shut off crossfire to get what you want.

Hope someone will come to say I'm wrong...

isn't what i asked :) I want to add a normal PCIe 1x Video card to power my 2nd monitor...

I am just wondering on how the desktop manager will work, looks etc...
