Hello, well here is my situation my PC next to me currently has a AMD K62 socket 7 400, I just bought a 550 to put in, I first wanted to just put it in, when I found out that I couldnt make out the mother board manual. I have to jumper the Motherboard for the CPU clock speed. and the table reads like so,
60
66
75
83
95
100
I lost, I dont know how to do the math, or how to set up the problem, could someone please explain this to me please?...

Then I found this site... and I got to thinking... I wonder what that 550 would properly over clock to...
Does anyone know what MHZ it would safely over clock to, and what kind of a fan I should get and how much it would cost?

Thanks alot in advance guys,

J

you shouldn't have to change that jumper except to try and overclock. is it at 66 now? if it's a 66 mhz fsb chip then 75 would be a big jump to try all at once. if i were you i'd leave it stock and try to get some smaller increment fsb settings using softfsb or some other software. what type of mobo are you using? brand and model # please.....
