When I got my xbox the day it came out, opened it up, plugged it in, and went right to the control pannel. Hey, memory manager. Lets see, 50,000+ blocks available, 50,000+ blocks free. That's normal, I don't have anything on there. I proceeded to place many halo saves on there, totaling up to about 1300 blocks. Hmm, 50,000+ blocks free.....still! I just ripped about a dozen cds to the hard drive, totalling 35,000+ Blocks! 50,000+ blocks free! still!

So, we have about 85,000+ blocks on this hard drive. I read somewhere that it's 317,000 but i can not confirm or deny this.

Is it just me, or was M$ just a litle stupid here. I mean that's just like saying yeah, there's space there, yeah there's space available, no im not telling you how much.

Anyone actually know the total size?

Space on the hard drive? I think I read that it was either 15 or 18G. Those numbers are stuck in my head, anyway. I forget where I read the article, but it may have been at Tom's, or Anand... something like that.

Oops, :edit:...

10G. See here (http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1561&p=7). It was indeed Anand where I read it before.
