Updated to newest forceware, displays different version

I was scanning files through my computer when I noticed my driver version read 6.14.11.6921, though I have updated to the latest driver through nVidia's site (official drivers). I was wondering is this because I didn't uninstall the previous drivers before installing the 169.21 drivers? Can someone give me a solution for a clean installation? Thanks.

6.14.11.6921 is the latest driverset... just look at the last 5 digits (16921) of the file version. The correct way to install nVidia display drivers is to first uninstall (via Add/Remove programs) the old driverset...
