I just took apart my old 486 (including the PSU) and have accumulated a number of parts. Do you know what I could do with any of these?
I did find an 80mm (maybe 92mm) fan in the PSU, but it is 2 pin, and my current mobo only has 3 pin.
I got the Heatsink plate, and I thought that maybe I could use it on the chipset or something.
So, do you guyz know what I could do with any of the parts?

So does anyone know of any useful parts from an old comp?

You could always use the fan. Just cause it has two wires don't mean anything. I have a 80mm fan in my case that only has two wires and it works I just can't tell how fast it`s running.
Yeah: put it back together and crunch for OC Seti Team with it:D
You could also use it as a file server, firewall for the internet.
Of course, if you don't put it back together ( if it won't work!) fans are useful, case could be used for another system and psu could be used as an auxiliary power supply for fans, cd, etc.

start it back up...make sure you have a floppy (a hard drive isn't necessary) and run FreeSCO (freesco.com or org..I forget which).
One of the best firewall's around.
If it's a solid heatsink, you can cut it up in small sections and use it for memory coolers. (if you don't go for the freesco idea)
