So I ordered 2 from newegg popped them in. I cant get either one to work, one I had a hard time initializing and formating but it finally did but tried to copy and paste stuff and it had a hard time. Tried to bench and it would not. Tried everything I could think of, tried installing vista 64 it sort of installed, like half way then it just sat there not doing anything so I just reset the machine (it did not install fast like you would think with the performance it is supposed to have so it led me to think it was screwed up).
As soon as I put the other drive in it started clicking like once a second and its about 10 times louder then a raptor. Reviews say it does this every 5-10 mins (it can speed up or slow down the disks inside), it was doing it non stop for me.
One of the drives newegg sent me did not come with screws, not that I needed them but the other one did, which makes me think they might of sent me one that was returned (the packaging is just a plastic thing that opens not in a sealed static bag) but I have no idea, the same drive has a little dust on it that I could wipe off while the other did not and had screws.
The big seagate and hitachi drives are now up in price  so looks like I will have to wait to get some different drives. Newegg better cover the next day shipping I paid for since nothing they sent me works.
I would stay away from these drives for a while atleast, or atleast from buying them through newegg (maybe they got a bad batch), because alot of the reviews on newegg say they got bad drives. Im sure everyone returned them and they might be restocking them with units that got returned, there is no seal to break so they look like they might of never of been used, and people could lie to avoid the restocking fee or something. Just to many reviews on newegg of drives not working and now I got 2 that I cant get to work.
Guess ill have these for the weekend if anything thinks of anything to try let me know.
Edit: tried again to install vista 64 (should not have any driver issues like I might with xp) and nothing it just sits at completing installation, I have done so many installs recently I know how long it should take and its alot longer. Cables and everything are fine put a WD 320gb on it and no problems at all.
