I was wondering if a Digital CAMERA or Digital VIDEO Camera would be better for me.

I personally wont make too many videos, so the camera would be useful.

I would just be using the camera to take pictures of my rig and stuff, and whenever I go out, but a video camera would be cool too.

So, do you guys have Digital VIDEO cameras or just Digital Cameras?

Which would be better for me?

Any halfway decent digital camera will be able to record video. If you don't think you really NEED a vidcam, get a regular still cam. When needed, you can still make videos with it. Maybe not as long or as high-quality as a vidcam, but close. And a still cam is a WHOLE lot cheaper than a dedicated digital vid cam! Cheapest I've seen is around a thousand bucks for a vidcam worth owning.

I have a $50 still cam here that will store 8 seconds of video at 12FPS internally or an unlimited amount at 24FPS when you save it to your hard drive. Still cams have gotten super cheap lately.

Wow, I never knew still cams could record!

I think I am positive that I will go with a still now!

Thanx everyone!
