View Full Version : The Rest of My 360 To-Do List, Need Advice
So I have the following games...
Assassin's Creed
Call of Duty 4
Forza Motorsport 2
Halo 3
Madden 08
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Mass Effect
And I'm getting bored. I mean, besides whoring myself for the Halo 3 Katana or going for all of the upgrades in Call of Duty 4, which I'm working on, what else is there to do? I like having my games totally beaten, but I'm sometimes feel like it's not fun to go around trying to beat everything on expert.
With that said, I have a few newer/older games I'm thinking about buying or renting, let me know which ones you guys think I should buy/rent/skip.
Gears of War
Oblivion (and the expansion for it)
College Hoops 2k8
Bioshock
If there are any other games you guys think I'd be interested in, let me know. Or if you think I should just go for achievements in those other games, that works too.

Maybe pick up an original xbox game, such as NFL 2K5?
Also Oblivion is a pretty deep game (I've seen my friend log over 300 hours into it, probably more now), so if you haven't beaten it yet there's probably a lot there to keep you busy.

I'm like you, and if you want a truely enjoyable timekiller, Oblivion. I have over 200 hours so far logged in and can't quit till I beat it all. Look at reviews to see if it interests you. Bioshock also rocks.

Oblivion is good. I've only heard rave stuff about Gears and Bioshock. I also say don't overlook some sports titles, right now my fav is NCAA 2008. Ace Combat 6 is a great game, Forza and Forza 2 are great and long. The Godfather is also an excellent game. Also don't overlook some original backwords compatible games like Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire, which if you like MAss Effect you should like as well.
Interesting. I'm just having problems staying interested in those games, I enjoy ranking up in multiplayer and continuing to progress, it just comes slowly now in most of my games.
I'm a completionist, yes, but I also want to have fun while I'm doing it and not just stress myself out over what is essentially ePeen (gamerscore). I must say I do like the games that reward you for getting achievements (Halo).
If anybody wants to group up and work our way through some Halo achievements, I would be more than happy to, I'm very very close to my Katana.
Annnd Halo is also more fun with friends, so add me: WTB Friends
Yes, WTB Friends is my gamertag.

I don't like bioshock a whole bunch but since I bought it I'm playing through it as we speak. Lots of people love it though so you may as well. I love Gears of War, I played through it for the first time about 2 weeks ago and will do it on expert as soon as I get back to school in a couple of days. I'm in your situation too, I don't really know what I'm going to play until something new comes out.
How did you like Mass Effect? I haven't tried it yet :-/
Mass Effect was GREAT.
Honestly, it's one of my favorite games. I'm the kinda guy that likes shooters and I played a lot of WoW, so I like the RP aspect of it. It's good, the action is really nice, and it's one of the best looking games for 360.
I think you'll love it if you like Bioshock, they have their own version of Plasmids, except cooler. And guns of course.

havent played halo in a week or so, but ill add you.(hate being sick)
try getting a level 40 minimum, and 1k/1k achievements. That will take you some time ;)
Ha yeah I've been working on achievements, got the Officer and 5 Sticks today, but some of them are TOO hard.
If anybody is up for it, I'd love to switch our languages and join lone wolves at the same time to do some achievements. 2 for 1, overkill, steppin' razor, maybe next time buddy, triple kill. If anybody could help me get these I'd appreciate it a lot.
All of the meta game ones I still need to do, I really don't know how to effectively do these.

Save Up Money for Devil May Cry 4 [2/5/08]
Look long and hard at Lost Odyssey [jRPG, comes 2/14/08]
Older games to invest in [should all be less than $40]
Dead Rising - $30 or less
Rainbow Six Vegas - Usually on sale for $40 or less - GREAT FUN
Ninja Gaiden Black - Oldie but GREAT Xbox 1 title - should be $20
Saints Row - Good Sandbox fun, some glitches here and there - $20-30
Crackdown - More Sandbox fun, should be $30-40 now
GRAW 1 - $20 or less if you can find it; GRAW 2 for $40 and under

what really sucks, is that you cannot have a party of 2 or more when going lonewolves.
(the last achievement I have is 2 for 1(laser kill), and my lonewolves skill level is 40 which sucks because getting that achievement is easy for lower skill levels, and harder as it gets higher...)
Btw, what dont you know about the meta games?
(next time buddy can be done in social slayer, even with yourself(you have to have 2 controllers). That one is really easy.
I just got Bioshock the other day. Its pretty fun, but kind of repetitive IMO. I am about halfway through I believe.
Great games which I played all the way through -
Halo 3
Oblivion
Gears of War
I also just bought Assasins Creed, and so far its an amazingly fun game. Graphics like Oblivion but action like Halo
