The Swiftech MCX 462 if you have an AMD rig.

I like my Vantec 6024OD it comes with the 38 delta. A real screamer if you like it. And cools any cpu.

Going but whats in your Sig. I'd say go with a MCX462 with the Delta 80mm 80c.f.m. fan. You can get both at www.sidewindercomputers.com Or if you want get the MC462 with a 80c.f.m. Delta.

Klowin is the winner that would be the best combo! a nice alpha with a medium level fan like the 50cfm fan would cost a 1/3 and do about the same job as the 100dollar combo he was talking about.

You people are not answering the question! Only Klownin79 got it right.

Swiftech MCX462 = Best air cooling available - FACT
80mm 80CFM Delta = Highest powered 80mm available - FACT

This is what I run and yes it is $ and yes it is loud. If you don't want to spend the $ or have earplugs then get something less.

Hey what do you know I finaly got something right. :D I just wish I would've got the MCX instead of the MC, but I will be getting the 80mm 80c.f.m. Delta sometime.

If Money was no object you would have a Solid Cusil heatsink cast out of a MCX 462 Mold....You would need to buy a MCX 462 and bring it to a foundry where they would make the mold and the final Cusil product. Just don't tell Swiftech as they may not like a foundry casting thier product if its trademarked.

Alpha or Swiftech for the heatsink, and Delta for the fan. Might want to check which heatsinks will fit your mobo. Sometimes size becomes and issue. Not all heatsinks will fit all motherboards, especially the higher end ones (they tend to be a wee bit bigger than normal).

Have to agree on this one - the MCX462 in stock form slightly outcools the Alpha 8045. That, combined with the fattest, highest CFM delta you can find would be optimal, if money and noise are not an object.

I still hold to my question. Will it fit on that board? So far we've pretty much determined that the Delta is the way to go fan wise, but what will fit heatsink wise?

I'd have to say yes. I went to the web site and look at the board. It has the four holes around the socket and the Caps and thing are like 1/4 to 1/2" away from the socket. Just to make sure Ozzman make sure you have 3"x3" including the socket.

If you are looking for a sdram board then the Iwill KK266+ would be a decent choice. They oc like crazy and have a good layout. Plus, with all the DDR boards out there, you can find them for a good price. Finally, there is plenty of room around the socket for any of the MC462 series hsf's. I had the KK266R mobo before the KG7 and was running the original MC462 on it with no problems.

Oh believe me Otto when you get it in your house you'll be begging for some ear plugs. I remember in an online store it gave you the option to pick ear plugs to come with it :p

Comair Rotron 235CFM
you will have to mount it to the side of your case but it has enough power to cool your entire system.....did I mention its only 8.95 US...

As muddocktor said, the KK266 Plus is a great board if you are going to use SD ram. Vcore and IO volt mods are easy too.

Look into Millenium's Glaciator 2. Including shipping, I paid 37 bucks from http://www.millennium-thermal.com You get excellent cooling WITHOUT the noise of your average 747 at takeoff....

My clocked XP runs 32c under load, all day. And I can't hear the hs over the other case fans.

I'd go with the Dragon Orb3 which keeps cpu at about 87 F, cost $30 and sounds like hell.
