mcw30 + metal barbs

I dont see why not, some G1/4 barbs with O-ring should fit fine.
The top, where the barbs screw in, looks similar to an Apogee and I can use metal barbs on my Apogee GT.
Hopefully someone has done this and will post up soon to confirm

this is what threw mw off
G ¼ fittings will seal so long as there is a straight portion under the nut flats sufficient to bring the G ¼ fitting’s o-ring into contact with the bottom of the o-ring groove, a depth of 0.080”.

That means there needs to be a "lip" on the bottom of the barb that will push the Oring down into the grove around the threads.
