Quick Q's about memory

Okay I am helping my buddy get a computer and there are two computers with different memory one has 512mb PC133 and the other has 256mb DDR which one should I choose?

If you're basing your decision entirely on the type and amount of ram in each box, then yes go with the DDR. But be aware there are already some ddr dogs out there.
