Just got motherboard and Proc for xmas

Just got a TYAN mother board and INtel 733 P III for christmas ...ANy suggestions...Also got 256 meg or ram....
I was the one asking about Gateways 300 P II being overclocked a couple of weeks ago...WOuld like some info on this hardware...

The Tyan website is pretty good as far as information goes. Our own Intel Motherboards forum could probably offer some more information if you'll present the model number there. BTW, I've read there (but have no experience) that the Tyan's aren't great for overclocking.

As to the CPU, the 733 was my first P3 and first step into modern overclocking. It didn't go so well, though. I got it to only 925, the average in our CPU database is 892, and the max there is 1100 with an engineering sample. Still, even if you can get to 150/160 FSB it's not too shabby. Many people here would give away body parts to get there. :)
