Help!!!!!!!

Ok i just got a new mother board and cpu for christmas:athlon xp1900+ and msi k7t266-ru

i have been running windows 2000 for the last 2 days and i just installed a new fan it boots then i go into bios everything works ok and everything looks good adn then when i go to boot to win 2k it freezes at startup. I have tried going into safe mode and everything and i dont know what to do. Does anyone know what could cause this but right before i shut here down i installed a divx codec could that be the problem and if so what should i do? But i cant bot at all even in safe mode. please help me?

wait i think i got it i unplugged the cdrom drives and pow it worked

no maybe it didnt work now it just gets to windows and it locks up as soon as it gets to desk top

i am just geussing but i think it is aa driver problem, if you CD drive or anything else has a driver that you have added delete the drives, it shoul work now.

change the 4 in 1 drivers to he newsest on ones provided with the motherboard

umm actually it was just the fan that was lose and the heatsink wasnt touching the core very well
but i fixed thanx anyways though
