Steam and XP64?

Question is as the title says. Does anyone run steam on xp64 bit? I get an error when I try to install the orange box. Also steam alone errors out on install. A quick search of steampowered.com led me to nothing so I was wondering if anyone knew?

Found it! Apparently the problem was that the windows installer service somehow didn't register properly so it doesn't know what to do with .msi files.

The odd thing was that Supreme Commander and SupCom:FA installed fine! Oh well, Installing CoD4 and then steam and Crysis!

Just an FYI, when XP64 came out, valva made a special effort to make sure all of their games/software worked 100% on it. I tried it and they worked great, infact. So steam should work great with it.

works fine on x64 vista x.O so i dont see a reason it shouldnt work on xp64 :/

Strange. Never any issues whatsoever with Steam on XP x64. Glad you got it working.
