Will these work together?

Before you call me nuts, I haven't built a system in 5 years, so everything I own is dated, and to top it off, it's all AMD, but I'm doing an Intel build this time around.

I want an E8400, not an E6750, but with school heating up, I need my new computer now, not in 3 weeks, and especially not in a month and a half.

So.. since I'll be buying aftermarket cooling for a 775 socket anyway, I thought to get a cheap Celeron-L 420 used OEM chip off ebay for like 20$ as a placeholder until I can acquire an E8400.

Thus my question.

Thanks!

The Celeron-L's are actually pretty powerful due to the Core 2 architecture.

You will be presently surprised!

yes it works just fine together... im running one right now in my ip35-pro at 3.2ghz with only 1.33volts.
