XPpro is fantastic.
so the vapochill isn't so good then? do you like it? I was thinking of getting one but if it is killing chips maybe it isn't worth it. Let me know if you want to sell it sometime.
Actulay the Vapochill is great Once you learn to mount it right I didnt take the time to properly learn. I can do it on the spot without any damage to a chip. It did cool a Athlon at 1.7ghz to -9c on load. If didnt have thise killer dual rig i would probaly build another massive overclocked system but i dont want to spend all tha money on a new system. It is for sale... i have a few people already trying to dig up cash for it. but i will sell it to whoever can get me the cash first. PM for more info.

I've managed to kill two socket A CPU's since I moved to them from socket 7. They were both major duhs. The first one, I was swapping back from the computer I was building for a friend. I forgot that I had borrowed the memory out of it. When I turned it on, it started telling me that it had no memory module. It was a Soyo with Voice Doc. I tried to turn it off, but it wouldn't shut down. I had no experience with ATX yet, I didn't know that it would shut down if you held the switch down. I was used to AT, where the switch went to the power supply. So I yanked the plug, put the memory back in, and powered it up. It seemed fine, but I noticed I had no sound. And then I realized it wouldn't play any games. I assumed that I fried the board, but then I bought the board I have now, and it was the same!
Then I fried one by forgetting to put the HSF back on, once again having borrowed it for a friends machine I was working on. Ooh, that smell! Only takes a minute.

Such violence, and all or nothing. It is kinda fun to gat back at a chip for giving you all that trouble, though.

You don't give up easily do you mEKbOY?
And once again you must make an offering to the SILICON GODS before opening the case!:D

How did you overclock with the TYAN board.. Have they updated the BIOS?

Golden sockets and adjustments to the L11 bridges on the actual cpu's.
