DVD which one?? need help

I'm tyring to decide on which dvd rom to choose from I can readily get lite-on, artek, and toshiba.
I can get pioneer but I have to send away for it so it will end up costing me about $40 more than the others above.
Any suggestions???

I would get the Toshiba, I've never heard bad things about them.(most of them are region free, or you can make them region free just go to www.firmware.com (down at the moment)).
My second choice would be the Lite-on, tho I've never heard anything about them, good nor bad.

Maybe they're not the best, but you certainly get what you pay for.

Take a look at thr Asus E616 as well. It's ATA 100 and performs very well. I just got one.
