Hey everyone.... haven't been here in a while hehe. Anyways I have a bit of a problem regarding my home network, well actually my room network.

First... my goal: I have an xbox, and am acquiring 3 more "broken" xboxes for $20 each, but none of them are actually broken they just can't play games. Anyways, I'm actually going to just use the 4 xboxes, load them up with gentoo, and fold with F@H and other things.

Ok so my problem: I currently have 2 routers set up in my room, a wired 4 port linksys router, and a wrt54g with dd-wrt. I have it wired so the cable modem goes to the wrt, and the wrt routes to the other linksys. I have 2 PC and a laptop using up 3 ports of the wrt, and the 4th port of course goes to the other linksys. The other linksys, a ps3, ps2, and an xbox right now take up 3 ports. Ok so I have 1 port free on that linksys, which I can use for the network of folding xboxes.

I don't have another switch or home router, but I do have a 4 port hub. If I hooked up all the xboxes to the hub, and the hub to the 4th port, what will happen? Will only 1 xbox be able to download work units and upload results, or is there some way I can make this work using a hub? Will I get really weird errors/results with F@H?

Hubs just repeat the signal to everything attached to them. Provided each Xbox has its own IP and the router rules allow all to access the internet, you're fine. Worst case you may need a crossover cable.
