I'm running the Artifacts test on my x1950 pro. How long should I let it run? It's been running 4 hours now w/o finding any artifacts.

thats long enough IMHO. I just run it like 10 mins past when the temp tops out and then use gaming for a real test.

What app are you using? (ATiTool, I assume)... yea, 4 hrs is more than adequate imo as well.

Thanks guys.
Yes. ATI Tray Tools.
It's gone 20 hours without finding any artifacts now.
I'm testing it because it is not running Folding At Home correctly any more. Every work unit gets an Early Unit End.
When it runs folding, the temp goes up to 75 degrees C. Is that too high?
When it is running that artifacts test, the temp only goes up to 61 degrees C. So, it looks like folding is stressing it more than the test is.

Yeah, there are more than a few apps that I see raising temps further than ATI Tray Tools -- in fact, I usually get higher temps out of the "Fuzzy Cube" from ATITool. (ATI Tray Tools != ATI Tool)
If your GPU client is coughing up a fit, I'd suggest turning the clocks back to stock and slowly working your way up again. Sounds like it's not 100% stable, but it also sounds like Tray Tools isn't going to be the app that lets you see that instability either.

I actually recommend the Fur application for max temps.

i only test a max of 6hrs,its not like i would be gaming longer than that lol...

I've never overclocked it. Can you OC an x1950 pro?
It must be a driver or directX problem.
Thanks guys.
