Just FYI, Frys has been selling refurbs (with all accessories included) for $50 and no MIR. You just need to go to the store and dig around in the unmarked white mobo boxes.

Which Fry's do you go to? Mine keeps all the ECS boards they sell in bundles stacked up right next to the motherboard display in the adjoining aisle. But I haven't seen any unmarked white mobo boxes.

its tempting but the thing that kills it for me is the fact ABIT doesnt allow cpu voltages below the stock vid of the cpu... AKA no undervolting, and if i were to buy a cheap board it would be used in my htpc, which i undervolt to keep temps down.

But if frys has one for 50 bucks ill grab it... a p35 for that much is a steal... the last time i was at frys about a week ago they only had 2 whiteboxed mobos and they wernt the abit p35's

That question is extremely wide open. How much do you have to spend? If you want DX 10 support (although at this point its a little overrated) your best bet is the nVidia 8400 GS, or ATI HD2400.

I was reading IP35-E reviews on Newegg's site.

What's the deal with the 'double boot' problem. Is it always fixable by a bios update?

Also, it it only the PRO version that has Firewire support?

Double boot is fixed w/ a bios update. I have the IP35-E and would get another one at this price.

I was under the impression that these were being discontinued. I was going to get this when I was piecing together my new pc (in my sig and around thanksgiving), but I couldn't find one for less then 120ish. Still a decent deal w/o the rebate, well, at least for about 2 months ago. Not sure about now.

I think it's still a good deal and a good board to get. I'm not really impressed with anything out right now or about to come out in the near future. I'd get one just for the hell of it but I just dropped close to $100 for a TRUE 120 and an Accelero S1 so I'm broke. P5B Deluxe is serving me well enough.

I believe it is disco'd or at least EOL. I've noticed occasionally Newegg gets in things like this and blows them out, often with an MIR. I suspect distributors need to unload their inventory and the Egg is the best place to do that for them.
