I was registering my new 8800GT SC on EVGA's site and they have offered me "Advanced RMA" for the card. If I purchase this now, I get a discounted rate. I'm thinking of getting the premium service for $8 (reg. $15 after 30 days) because they pay shipping both ways.

I'm soliciting comments from others here that have used this service and to ask if you think it is worth the money for this card.

Oh, and does the cost of the Advanced RMA last for the entire "Limited Lifetime" warranty period?

Yes... I believe it does. It's definately worth buying. I've done two (or was it three?) advanced RMAs in the past three months and if you get the best one they pay for shipping both ways. All I had to do was give the package to my UPS guy when he passed by. Didn't even have to change out of my robe.

Definately worth it.

There are actually a few levels above "premium." Premium gives you free GROUND, but the better levels offer 3-day, overnight, or overnight WITH WEEKEND delivery. Premium and above all offer cross-shipping.

I figure that since I have backup cards/computers, I can wait for ground so I'm leaning toward "Premium" for $8 (if I wait until after 30 days, Premium goes up to $15).

it would cost about $8 to ship it anyway. evga is a great company but they might give you even better service if they see you have this. so yes, i'd say worth it.
