The ultra is faster... but not so much that it's worth $100 more;)

The Ultra is the faster card but I do not think the cost justifies the slight difference in speed depending on which Ti200 you get (brand)

I would say look into a retail ATI Radeon 7500, I have had very good response from mine. I read alot of reviews, the 7500 is equal to an Ultra and when overclocked compared to an overclocked Ultra it is faster in most aspects.

The 7500 is faster than the Ti200's in most aspects although it gets beat in some res's but this is at default speeds. When I compared my overclcoked 7500 to a thread a little while back that was about 3D Mark2K1 overclocked Ultra scores on systems that were very similar in cpu/ram/mobo to my own the 7500 was faster.

For about $107 US online I think it is the best deal going right now. It is the only card to offer TV out at 1024x768 and it supports DX8 although not all features. I have not had a driver issue that has caused any probs and the card performs well in games.

Thats my 2 Cents worth

if i were paying 150$ gfor a video card the Geforce3Ti200 easily crushes both the Ultra and the G2Ti and can be found for that price (ok maybe a bit more) www.pricewatch.com

The Ti owns the Ultra or any existing GeForce 2 Series...

If you are between a GF2 Ultra and a GF2 Ti, Why not get a GF3 Ti 200. It can be overclocked to almost a std. GF3. It is better than both and is priced in the middle of the three.

Latest pricewatch.com;
GF2 Ultra $173
GF3 Ti 200 $152
GF2 Ti $ 91

The GF3 ti 200 is a bargain.

Lets mix it up a bit more, for the price of a Ti200 you can buy an OEM 8500 , take the chance and possibly get lucky flashing bios to a retail speed 8500.

8500 is the better bet.

Currently I think that a 7500 for $105 is a damn good deal, better performance than an Ultra and newer technology.

The G3 Ti200 are sweet line of cards though!!!!

So you got the GF2 ultra and you want to know if it's better than the GF2 Ti? It is, though not by much. I heard the Ti overclocks better, but whose to say? That depends on a lot of other factors.

The only thing that the geforce 2 ti has over the geforce2 ultra is that the geforce 2 ti has a .15M GPU and that means that it will be able to overclock alot better than the geforce2ultra.

Also, a real curious side note,

if you took a TI and Ultra and underclock the speed of the ram to 400, the TI will be about 2% faster in everything. The Ti just has a newer PCB and a slightly modifed GPU!;)
