7.11 and 8.1 drivers for Crysis (HD3850)

I'm getting really bad FPS in Crysis with catalyst drivers 7.11 and 8.1 starting with the EA graphics logo. The game works fine and flawlessly with 7.12 drivers. Is anyone else having these problems with the same card/drivers?

With 7.11 and 8.1 I can barely make it past the ads (I get < 10 FPS and same in game). I run it with everything on medium except shaders and textures (which are on high) at 1440x900 with 7.12.

No problems here with the 8.1's and my 3870's in CrossFire.

1680x1050 at DX9 all high, 64-bit mode on Vista Ultimate. Averages about 35fps.
