Hello there
http://www.gainward.de/product/product_detail.php?products_id=145
I'm playing with the thought buying this baby, but I'm not sure if the cooler ist woth a penny...
So I'd be glad, if you had any articles or experiences...
Thanks
EDIT:
Almost forgot:
I'm planing to get following components aswell:
Intel E8400
Abit IP35-E or Asus P5K-E
OCZ 2x 1GB CL4 DDR2-800
Corsair VX-450W
It should be fairly decent, its a 2 slot design.

ok, thanks for your opinions...
someone rated the card in the online store. he wrote, he had temperatures (when playing) 65-70°C, which should be alot better than normal heatsink, shouldn't it?

It's certainly double slot, but I don't really see much aluminum to dissipate heat, so I wouldn't expect it to do wonders either.
*Should* be better than the stocker though, but I think not by a huge margin.

Not the improved bigger fan revision. That is about the same. (60% fan speed that is)

Well everyone went crazy about the death fan and 90C load temps, so they changed fans and it's like 65C load with 60% fan speed.
I think most retail GT's are now rev 2. fans.

The new fan at 100% isn't loud at all.

hum, thanks... well, I don't know. The Gainward is the cheapest I can get at my favourite shop, and I don't intend to buy parts here and there, so I'll probably be going for the Gainward.
If not, how would I recognize the difference?

ah, I knew I knew something about it ;)
now that I see the pictures, yes, I remember it. new fan seems to work quite well, unfortunately, no store here in switzerland has got the cards with the revision fans yet =(
hi'
for this card try to find a golden sample one ...
expert tools, and double slot, heat pipe and a real decent fan, never above 55°c on games like DiRT ;)
