It is time to upgrade my old 805D and asus P5nd2, however, I have 4 ide devices. I am looking for a motherboard with p35 or x38 chipset that has 2 ide connectors to attach 4 ide devices. Everyone seems to have migrated to all sata now. Do any of the newer mb's have 2 ide's?? Or will I have to bite the bullet and migrate my drives to the sata counterpart? An additional expense and hassle I would like to do without. Thanks,DSA

Sata-IDE adapters works flawless on Intel SATA controllers, and they dont cost much iirc.

Im pretty sure its gradually being phased out.

A pci PATA controller card should be pretty cheap and unless your wanting majorly high STR then it should do the job.

Thanks for those suggestions. Can you boot of the pci ide adapter, or the sata-ide converter?
