X-FI: Missing Digital Out setting?

I can't find the digital out setting for my x-fi. I've tried this on multiple boxes. Supposedly, it is supposed to be under advanced on the volume control and in control panel under advanced. It, however, is never there and the advanced button is grayed out. Am I doing this right?

go into the thx settings and change the flexijack mode.
