I'm building a new computer for my entertainment center.I have a 61" digital HDTV and I'm looking for a video card that has component video out (like on dvd players) for HDTV or any card that will run in HD!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I believe most newer vid cards have hdtv video processors built in...Heck I think mine does... it has svideo out and a little adapter doohickey that came with it... (my vid card is listed in my sig below) ;)

Your TV probably has a VGA input, just connect using that.

the only card i know of tha puts out in 1024x768 resolution is the Radeon7500, though others may have svideo out like HDTVS use it will still output at best 800x600 resolution...

all newer video cards with tv-out (gf3's and radeons) will work. but as funny person said, with the hdtv you would really be able to take advantage of the 1024x768 tv out resolution from the radeon 7500. get one, you'll be happy. retail version if possible.

Thanks for the help! so a 7500 would be the best? not a 8500?

but no one makes one w/ component out (not to be confused with composite, that only has one video cable)component has 3 separate cables one for red, blue, and yellow. oh and my tv dosen't have a vga plug.I wish it did

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!

7500 is best for HDTV needs, but 8500 is better for gaming..

Great to see a big ass TV like that. I have the 7500 and I love it as the others have said it is the ONLY card that does 1024x768 HDTV. Overclock the 7500 they work well get retail though, check my sig to see how far I have got it over default of 290/460

I just got 40" Toshiba HDTV rp widescreen that I have been meaning to try my card out on , let me know how it works out for you, I just can not get my pc to my TV at the time.
