I think the words describe what I've seen of your posts, as well. Do me a favor and take a look at this:

I think the different X30 model for the newer board, can easily handle the newer highend chips. BTW x30 have 15% right now.
the 820 model upgrade to T7200 look hot...

Sorry the Vostros or Inspirons are a better deal with better screens. My 1500 has a beautiful screen with similar or better specs.
Wow! I really don't wanna spend the money, but these look awesome. Hrmm I'll be doing a search on this vid card, but wondered if anyone had any experience with it: 512MB NVIDIAŽ Quadro NVS 120M
Going to use this for maya and other 3d apps wonder if this card is a true quadro.

That's a negative. The NVS series is for 2D stuff. It's probably not any better than your average low-grade card for 3D.

The dell refurbs are looking nice. I got in on the XPS m1530 $799 deal but the laptop they sent me was FUBAR. So I went to the refurbs and picked up an XPS m1530 with:
T7700 (2.4Ghz)
1GB DDR2
120GB 7200rpm HDD
8600m GT w/ DDR3
Wireless N
Bluetooth
All for $1000...btw...upgrading the ram to 4GB is going to cost me $65 :D
