get newest drivers...that is a loooow score for your setup.....get the 22.50 detanators from www.m3dzone.com and the best way to get your 3dmark score up there is through ocing the CPU....

I've no idea about the vid card part but if your motherboard won't let you oc the cpu you could always modify the L bridges to get the cpu to think it has a higher default multiple. This (http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/d070301.html) should explain it clearly.

Most boards have the option of letting you set the clock multiple. For those boards you simply connect all of the unconnected L1 bridges. That gives the motherboard control of the multiple setting. For boards that have no multiple setting controls it's a bit more difficult. You need to change which bridges are connected and which ones aren't that way you can convince the cpu that it has a different multiple than what the factory rated it at. I think a 900 should get you to 1,000. Probably more but because you'd need to change the bridges each time you test that's a lot of tinkering, each time you run the risk of chipping the core when you re-attatch the sink. I'd just set it for 1,000 maybe 1,050 and if it takes leave it at that. Give the article a good read. There should be a faq around here somewhere too. Look into it, study the idea, if you aren't sure about anything there's any number of people here who can answer specific questions you may have.

IS THIS LIKE O/CING IF I DO 1000 WILL THAT MAKE IT A T-BIRD 1000 MHz OR IT WILL JUST THINK THAT. WHAT A BOUT THE CARD'S FSB

WHAT MOBO COULD I GET SO I CAN O/C WHTA'S THE PRICE

By connecting L1 bridges, you could change your CPU multiplyer in your bios... I think it's at 9 for your 900 MHz. You could up it to 9.5 for 950 MHz, to 10 for 1000 Mhz, etc. However it will make your CPU run hotter and you'll need a good heatsink or those higher temps will cause instability.

Changing your FSB would let you OC the whole system and would probably be the better option. If your bios won't let you do it, try finding an updated bios version for your motherboard at the maunfacturer's website. If you still can't adjust it, I'd start to consider getting a new motherboard... Or maybe your board uses switches for changing those settings, in which case you should consult the manual or get one from the manufacturer's website.

The 2 settings to OC your video card (Leadtek, right?) are the GPU frequency and the memory frequency. I have the Leadtek GF2 Ti, and I found that the GPU is already clocked pretty high and that raising it lowered my 3dmark scores. But the memory I was able to turn up to 455 from 401.

My scores are a little higher than 5000 in 3dmark2001 and around 9300 in 3dmark2000.
Right now my FSB is at 145 from 133, and the card is set at 250/455. But then my CPU and motherboard are newer and contribute to these higher scores...

Hope this stuff helps you out.

You should be able to get a motherboard for $60 to $120... It will have to be compatible with your CPU and RAM... I'd get a new board that supports DDR and get new ram as well... that would increase your performance considerably.

Your computer would think the processor is something else... It's a Duron, right? It'd probably think it was a Duron 950 or 1000 at those speeds, not a T-bird. It might not identify it all. My athlon XP 1600+ is sometimes identified as the Athlon XP 1800+ and sometimes as just an Athlon XP. But it's only semantics, really. The speed is what matters.

I'm using detonator 23.11's. I found they improved my 3dmark2001 score by about 600. I haven't tested my TV-out, so I don't know if I have the same problem you had.
