How much better is the GTS when compared to the gt. Is it worth the 70 dollar price difference

Its around 10% faster, and will overclock better on the stock cooler.
Plus, you don't have to listen to that whiny fan. :p
Hey hey, they fixed that...
700 clocks vs. 800 core clocks?
I'm a cheap *******, but the 8800GTS comes with Crysis
both great cards for the money, GTS has better cooling, no need for 3rd party cooler to top it out, plus 100mhz more OC potential and the ram goes higher also by 100 average.

The extra $70 for a G92 GTS is well worth especially if you OC. I doubt there is a G92 GTS made that won't
run 756ROP x 1890Shader / 1062-1080Memory clean in everything right out of the box with the fan at 60%.

8800gt = 600mhz/900/1500, the very slightly from make to make from different manufactures, but thats a stock speed from xfx on their alpha dog.
8800gts = 678MHz/986/1700 on an xfx alpha dog.
both have 16 ROPs, the GT has 112 steam processors where as the GTS has 128, to put it in plain terms "kinda"
Say you have both @ 650mhz/986/1700, the gts is faster, to make the GT just as fast you would need to clock the core upto 743Mhz JUSt to make it just as fast as the GTS "it being at 650"
so you have your gts @ 650mhz and your GT @ 743mhz, both equal at that point.
"higher core clock to compensate for less stream processors"
something like ?11% faster, and thats even if you can achieve 743 on the GT thats pushing it,

My GTS is stable at the clocks in my sig. My dad's GT would only hit 715/1800/975.

What? My 8800GT does 740 just fine with the stock cooler.
