im looking for something that will cool my CPU to anything below 30 cel. i do not want something that's going to drive me up the wall.( as far as noise is concerned)

However i do want to O/C the processor to about 2200 from 1700 in the future. (the socket is a 423 by the way)

last but not least what temps should i expect from this puppy O/Ced to 2200 with sufficent cooling of the case to keep the ambient down.

Go with watercooling since you don't want noise.

Just remember, A P4 is like an Athlon, in that speed=heat. That said, coolerguys.com has the MC462 for the socket 423 P4 for 49.99 bare and 59.99 with a 68 cfm Delta fan. Now this is a 80 mm fan and it doesn't have that high pitched whine of a 60 mm black label Delta. It is pretty loud, but I live with it with no problems. I also have my computers in a separate room so I don't have to sleep with them either.:D
