Please report any issues or bugs.

1st bug/issue found with E8500 cpu on Asus Blitz Formula 1402 bios, when set to 9.5x 333FSB default cpu speeds, it's reporting FSB as 352FSB thinking the cpu is 9x multi instead of 9.5x multiplier.

E8500 @9.5x333FSB 1:1

create a bootable cd or floppy via windows and then put the files on the disk then reboot and run the exe via dos.

I guess it would have been too easy for the author of this program to just make an ISO like normal....... :-/

Thanks jonspd..... I might give it a shot.

Thats great news!

I wonder if you could use memtest to test a SSD???(obviously referring to a complete rewrite of the program, but same testing principle)

I would think that there would be a different test for drives like inside of windows or a dos proggy.

SSD are not the same as memory are they?

I mean I guess if they are similar enough you might could change the target hardware of the test from memory to the drive.

According to the thread the beta is almost done and the release should be sometime next week for the official 2.0 version. I can't wait for that.

For memtest 86+ do you do standard test? and if you have any problems do the tests individually 0-9 till you pass them all?

If you are getting errors, you can try raising different voltages within acceptable ranges, and if that doesn't work the RAM needs to be replaced. Doing tests one at a time is only really necessary if you know what you are doing and know where to expect things to fail.

For example, if doing the standard test, you always get errors in test 4 and test 5 only, then when playing with voltages in hopes to fix the errors, only test with test 4. The rest would just be a waste of time.

Make sense?
