has ne1 in here ever used a SIS 630E motherboard for Celly/P3? thanks.

sis 630e

iv`e been told that it is a very reliable chipset, but it was never
widely used.
and the good thing about it is compatible with
virtual channel memory vc 166
enabling 4 way memory interleave in the bios really makes this
memory perform way better than ddr266

cool maybe i'll buy one. micro atx and flex atx boards are cool

virtual channel ram
made by syncmax
available through ingram micro.ca or .com
you must open an account or know someone who has one
with them.
they only make 128 mb modules

ecs 630

got this motherboard on friday and my celeron 1ghz on
saturday using my old ata 33 hd , hd is serious bottleneck
but this mobo really rocks, quick as hell for me plus it
is ata-Udma 100 compatible. i will be getting a ata 133 hd
soon and this mobo overclocks to 166fsb ie.
166cpu-166mobofsb-28mhzpci slot EXCELLENT
get get that now because of hd limit.

good flex-atx case is the inwin iw-bt610
cdrom is on the left side

i do i do

i have a pcchips 758lmr and it really is unstable at 166 even with a lot of ventilation i think i am going to try to put it in the freezer to see if it is going to be stable since it is not at 37 celcius and with core up from 170 to 195 as for the sis 630e it is a good chipset but with limited capacity for 3d
