hmmm, yes another rtcw threads: rtcw had several scary moments that even beat system shock 2. mine is on the X-labs level when you come out on to that caged walkway over that lab where those 3 "halflings" (thats what i call them at least). escape and kill the nazis. you keep going through the other door, and as your walking down the hall you come to a window and you hear a startingly loud crash as a mangled bloody corpse hits the window. that alone caused me to jump and yell loud enough to bring nearby family members scurrying. the moment afterwards was almost as bad (or good i should say?) when i saw the halfling on the floor below and i though i was safe, nope- it jumps through the opening and comes right at me. damn, those things scare the **** out of me.

RTCW didn't really scare me, although towards the end it was spooky.

Now "Undying" on the other hand, it scared the pee-pee out of me  .

But you have to remember that Undying is from the true master of Horror (Wes Craven ain't got NOTHING on Clive Barker!)

Resident Evil 3. Nemesis jumps through those windows at you in the police station, they controller jumps out of your hands, and you just about pee yourself. Listening to Nine Inch Nails while Playing ANY Resident Evil game alone at night is a bad idea. Unless you got one damn fine blankey.

yeah they did a great job with that. I tried running like a little girl and it still killed me. I got scared the second time too but that time I was ready to kill him.

Being new to 3d gaming I was "scared" a bit in RTCW when on the edge of a cliff looking down into the pit below. The graphics are that good!

Excellent game.

there was a few levels i turned the lights off and the volume up and i was really freaked out, the x labs was scary and i personally thought the church levels with the undead were scary too.

yes indeed they were, but now that i think about it rtcw wasnt really a "scary" game. sure it had its moments, and the overall effect was very good. but playing cliver barkers undying (just started) makes rtcw seem like a comedy. . .

The beginning of the "Crypt" level's were great! Not so scary as..when is the next sucker gonna pop outta the wall..or floor..or crypt!

The exact scene Blackearth and El mentioned also made me jump out of my seat. I felt my heart skip a beat and the next thing that came across my face was a big smile! The only scene I can recall that actually "scared" me!

Great game!
