bad monitor?

hey guys, i got a Samsung 900NF, and on a white background, i can clearly see 2 thin black lines, one at top and the other one at bottom...do i have a defected monitor?:confused: :confused: :confused:

i've seen the question asked alot lately :), no that is NOT a defect, those are shadows from the damper wires used to stablilize the aperature grille and are most noticeable on a white background.
