900 mhz T-Bird or 1ghz Duron?

which would you get??

I want the T-Bird.. i fried my asus mobo for my XP.. so its getting replaced.. i figure ill order either:

900 mhz T-Bird

or a

1.0 Ghz Morgan Duron..

witch one.. my cooling unit will be lots of case mods,

and a SwifTech 370 with 2 Stacked delta 30 CFM fans..
(I had the cooler laying around.. figured id stack 2 fans..)

how dose the cooler sound and which processor?

go with the tbird, it has the 256 caches and you can always oc to 1 gig anyways. btw, very nice cooling system but 2 deltas?:eek:

the fan i had is 120 not 80.. that sucks.. ill just get an adapter and stack it....

Well.. im stacking them because the SwifTech dont have a copper bottem.. and i need the extra cooling.. it will be in my basement too... so no worrys about noise.. or any crap like that.. and i have filters throughout the whole case.... even on the PSU.. i taped 1 on... its gehtto.. but it will be clean and cool... no dust and crap like that.....


The stacked fans are just and idea i had.. really to help with the fact that the 30 CFM from the delta really isnt much... i mean its not like im gonna be cooling 1.4 ghz.. but its still a nice setup for moving air... you know.. i guess its all personal preferences..

Tbird 900, definitely. Mhz is not the only way to get speed, after all.

Fan stacking doesn't seem to help out with most of the stuff I have seen.

I did put 2 4500rpm fans side by side: both 26cfm (rated- I don't think they really put it out though:p ) and dropped about 5c.

Personaly I would go with the morgan duron since the 900 athlon will be limited to about 1100 or so due to the core. The 1000 Morgan duron will probably be able to do quite a bit more and make up for any cash differences. By the way I think newegg had the morgan duron 1000 for $54 shipped.
