I play many games. Should I get an XP or an MP, whats the major diff between the two, other than the price?

Get a XP...the Mp is meant for dual systems and offers no additions over the XP in single cpu systems.

So why is the MP cost so much more?

If I go with the XP, what are the best steppings for it? Or does it also depend on the speed. Im looking to OC it to at least 1.8 GHz w/ air cooling. Is that even possible with air cooling?

MP's are more expensive because they are aimed towards the server or workstaion market which means businesses with money who are willing to spend. Thats pretty much sums it up. As far as your overclock. Anything is possible including 1.8ghz and not even 1.66ghz. Just go for it...thats what its all about.

If you go low-end, and get an XP1500 (bargain!), you can squeeze XP1900 plus speeds out of it easily (I'm at 1.6GHz and climbing), or the more expensive XP1800/1900's seem to reach 1.7/1.8GHz quite easily.......
