I updated the bios on my Blitz Formula to 1402 last night, and now my Ballistix Tracer 1gb 1066 sticks are erroring on memtest immediately. It does the same with 4, 2, or 1 stick.

I set the bios the same as I had before the bios update...so i'm unsure what's going on.

The mem on bootup states that it's running at 1064(used to say 1067)

any thoughts?

go back to the old bios retest... if its the same thing something is wrong with the ram.. also though did you make sure they were getting specced voltage?

I have the voltage set at 2.2

currently, it seems to test fine at 800, but as soon as i go to 1066...it will run until test 6 and then errors there.

I have 4 sticks, both pairs do this so i'm pretty sure it isn't the ram.

Also, EZ flash won't allow me to flash to an older version, any way around that?

hmm...when i run afudos 2.11 it just hangs at Advance Check....

any way to get past that?

ive only done this using a floppy drive i used one boot disk then a disk with afudos 2.11 after dos promt type afudos /ibiosname
hope this helps
Rich
