We should all know that Sygate can share internet using software + cable modem (fixed IP)

So does Windows XP (Home and Pro) have intergratred Sygate function?

If yes, does the following thing works...?

PC1 with 2 realtek Lan cards..
PC2 with 1 realtek Lan cards..

PC1 have a cross over cable linking to PC2 but a non cross over cable(dunno wat its called) linking to the cable modem

can PC2 get internet as well as net function??

Thx in advance... Free Smiles for anyone who can solve this...

Yes this is how Window ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) works.

You plug the broadband modem into Ethernet1 on computer 1 with the cable that comes with the modem. Then you plug Computer2 into Ethernet2 with a crossover. If your running 2k or XP it will even make a disk for you to configure Computer2 with...

Pretty easy.

ICS Maybe easy to setup but never efficent for me. Me and my dad spent hours on it and we still couldn't get it to work instead we did a proxy.

ICS sucks. I use Sygate and my webpages actually load faster.
